THE FESTIVAL

  • The Louisiana Sugar Cane Festival is held the last full weekend of September of each year at Bouligny Plaza, 102 W. Main Street, New Iberia, LA 70560.

    The 2026 festival will take place on September 24th, 25th, 26th and 27th.

  • Nope! Attending the festival and carnival are free.

    An entry fee is collected to enter the Fais Do-Do.

  • The Louisiana Sugar Cane Festival does not have any designated parking. There are several areas surrounding Downtown New Iberia where attendees can park for free.

  • Yes! Approved Food Truck vendors will be set up within Bouligny Plaza near the Carnival. View the official vendors here.

  • You can find information on how to become a food truck vendor and Parade Route Vendor on the Vendors page of our website. All vendors MUST be actively registered with the Secretary of State’s office.

  • A variety of artists and bands play at the Louisiana Sugar Cane Festival each year - our current lineup can be found on the Entertainment page of our website.

  • Only cash is accepted at the Louisiana Sugar Cane Festival. A mobile ATM will be available for use.

  • The Louisiana Sugar Cane Festival Parades runs through downtown New Iberia, starting at the intersection of Main & Ann Steet and ending at Jefferson Street. You can find our parade route map and more information on the Parade page of our website.

MISC/OTHER

  • Official Festival merchandise retailers can be found here. Festival Merchandise will be sold during festival weekend in Bouligny Plaza near the Food Truck vendors. See our Merchandise page for more details.
